Abstract:	台灣偏鄉社區的大型圖書館距離平均約有二十公里以上，這種閱讀環境設備下的孩子，與全世界測驗結果成就的差距有多遠值淂教育界予以關注，本研究以台灣偏遠地區國民小學階段四年級學生為對象，以國際PIRLS閱讀測驗題目和問卷為藍本，探討偏鄉兒童面對教育資源及文化刺激缺少，相對於閱讀課外讀物習慣的養成、閱讀環境的形塑和閱讀學習的成就之間的相關性。獲得以下結論：一、四所學校之學生閱讀學習資源以來自學校為主，學生閱讀以學校提供及教師指導為大部分，漫畫、雜誌和報紙的閱讀率低，學生放學後在家看電視或玩電腦的時間集中在一到三小 Taiwan partial Township Community of large library distance average about has 20 km above, this reading environment device Xia of children, and world test results achievements of gap has more far value de education sector be concern, this research to Taiw
