乳房X光影像註記是自動化乳癌偵測上極為關鍵的一個步驟，因此是持續發展中的一個重要主題。拍攝乳房X光片時，由於乳房為彈性體，當其受到壓力的關係會產生變形，因此假設乳房是剛體，將會造成諸多誤謬。有鑑於此，本研究使用共同資訊、特徵抽取、及特徵匹配技術，並利用薄板雲形曲線模擬乳房之彈性變形，發展一種創新之乳房X光影像註記法。發展所得之方法可被用在乳房X光影像之比對分析上，做為醫生偵測乳癌之輔助工具。 Mammogram registration, a critical step in automated detection of breast cancer, is an ongoing research topic.
