    Abstract: 國小校長支配著學校整體行政資源與制訂學校經營的策略,是影響學校發展的重要關鍵。近年來,社會朝向自由、開放發展,學校教育環境也隨著社會的腳步調整,學校的領導者所承受的挑戰與壓力更勝以往,學校領導者如何做有效的領導,以提昇學校整體效能,便成了校長的主要職責,因此瞭解校長的領導行為的重要性是不言而喻!
    然而,究竟是什麼因素影響校長的領導行為?過往研究指出校長的人格特質是影響校長領導風格的關鍵因素,然而探討校長的五大人格特質對路徑目標理論中所歸類之四類領導行為(指導型、支援型、參與型、成就導向型)之影響效果的研究
