    Abstract: 光學文字辨識(OCR)軟體在掃瞄器上的應用已十分成熟,然而由於消費性市場的蓬勃發展,使得網路攝影機(Webcam)的應用愈來愈普及,若能把OCR應用於Webcam將可大幅增加OCR產品的市場規模。相對於掃瞄器,利用Webcam做為輸入裝置,最大的挑戰在於其解析度不足、影像模糊不清及環境光線不均勻等因素。這些挑戰可能會造成二元化文字影像的筆畫破碎、錯誤連結甚至嚴重地扭曲變形,使得文字辨識效果不理想。因此本論文提出一套以灰階影像為基礎的文字辨識技術,避免二值化過程所引起的失真,並得到高正確性的辨識結果。本論文
