    Abstract: 台灣地區現行機動車輛總數約一千九百多萬輛，而由駕駛者違規所衍生的交通安全問題亦頗為嚴重，鑑於目前交通違規舉發之技術並無法切實取締到所有違規行為之駕駛者，導致違規舉發之件數與違規現象不成比例外，亦難以真正遏止違規行為之發生。因此在積極建置智慧型運輸系統之際，如何將智慧化的觀點導入現有的交通執法系統，使其不僅能達到遏阻用路人違規行為之目的，並能藉由先進技術之應用，達到提昇交通安全及教育民眾之雙重目標，乃成為交通監測與執法的重要課題。本研究針對路口先進式交通監測與執法系統之設置與應用進行探討，透過傳統監控攝影系
