    Abstract: 本研究之目的即以台中都會區（Taichung metropolitan area）為分析對象，應用區域經濟理論中之「經濟基礎分析法」（economic base analysis），探討台中都會區之產業發展、人口與就業，以供公共部門從事政策制定或改革之參考。
    本研究依各項相關研究對台中都會區所定義之區域範圍進行篩選，選出台中都會區之區域範圍並且配合政府歷年實際資料，利用區位商數法（location quotient；簡稱L.Q.）分析台中都會區之產業結構，將產業劃分為基礎產業(basic industry
