    Abstract: 根據斯德哥爾摩國際和平研究所的報告，在1980至2000年期間全球每年約發生三、四十起武裝政治衝突，可見政治衝突仍然持續威脅著亞、非、拉丁美洲等新興民主國家的政治發展。本文嘗試介紹西方政治衝突相關的理論，包括階級對抗、相對剝奪、資源動員、政府管制、依賴、菁英競爭、文化差異、族群歧視、與政治機會結構等理論。
