    Abstract: 永續發展在於能夠確保人類和自然的福祉，須能將社會、經濟和環境的互動加以緊密結合，以有效提升人類集居之居住生活環境品質；在台灣，若欲探討集居環境與其之對應，住宅社區於實際發展中著實扮演著基礎建構之重要角色。思索於永續社區(Sustainable Community)的建立，乃是經過努力與創造、並彰顯出強烈的「在地特性」，而絕非直接強加植入外來經驗、並且須考慮存在其間既有的機會、內部限制條件、以及發展政策的勾勒與實踐。因此，有必要透過相關客觀評估模式之建立用以量測與評價、並進而作為整體目標邁進之有效導引。是以
