    Abstract: 遊憩承載量因著生態旅遊的風潮，而為國內旅遊管理單位及學術研究重視，歷年來多以國家公園等自然地區的社會承載量、承載量指標研究為主。但從支持自然地區旅遊的生態環境變動與遊客量關係的研究則附之闕如。苗栗縣蓬萊溪為中港溪上游支流之一，自2001年開始進行封溪護漁成果良好，且因景緻優美，山景秀麗，成為遊客從事生態旅遊的重要景點，連續假日時遊客甚至多達五六千人次；近幾年在封溪河段的周邊及上游地區更蓋有許多餐廳及民宿，假日住客人次千餘人，對河川水環境造成衝擊。由2005至2006年先趨研究中發現蓬萊溪的水質環境雖仍屬環
