Abstract:	台灣地區地狹人稠，人口密度高度集中且工商業活動頻繁，因此對於交通運輸需求相當大。但隨著近十餘年來國家經濟快速成長，交通運輸日益頻繁，使得各橋樑之交通量、車輛荷重均有超荷之情形，此外由於車輛增多發生於碰撞橋樑結構之交通意外事故也隨之增加。因此，在不當使用、維護人力與經費不足等因素下，反而導致橋樑加速老舊化，且無法有效維持交通運輸效益，更造成民眾行的不便問題。由於鋼構橋樑之運用越來越普遍，且在眾多橋樑中目前國內從對於混凝土橋樑之維護、管理等研究學者眾多，而對於鋼構橋樑研究相對較少，有鑑於此本文期能從鋼構橋樑 Heavy traffic is one of the key reasons why a bridge is often damaged.
