Abstract:	我國政府為促進經濟建設，不斷充實各項公共建設，民間建築工程又趨蓬勃發展，且連接全島的運輸動脈均有賴道路工程之定期保養、維護，以致使用水泥、砂石等天然材料數量無於計數，由於保護河川禁採砂石之故，使得砂石短缺問題，日趨嚴重，幾已達枯竭狀態，保護天然資源固然重要，創造國家競爭力亦不容忽視。迄自設計階段，為避免道路工程持續加鋪，使原有路面高程超出計劃道路設計高程，造成橋樑淨高不足、路面高於兩側路肩導致機車騎士、行人滑倒及排水不良等公安事故，於一般道路損壞時均先予刨除（依實際狀況設計刨除厚度），刨除料再由 Aggregate is an important engineering material in construction industry.
